A terrace under the plane trees at the foot of the church and the Fronton and delicious dishes including the homemade Basque cake which is to die for. A warm welcome. I highly recommend.
INCREDIBLE!!! If you're local, then you know. I guarantee you'll never find a better omelette . Wlowners ,both incredible people. Staff fantastic. Very happy for visit!
Local products. Delicious food.Setting unchanged over the years in an authentic small Basque village with pediment and magnificent view of the Rhune. A nugget!!!
Guinguette atmosphere, pleasant service, fair prices.A menu with good products and a touch of humor, thank you Gilles! Special mention for the homemade Basque cake!!
Everything is incredible, the food is so good, a super nice place (I ate on the terrace), the service is excellent, but the most important thing is the food, everything is delicious! You can't leave there without ordering the fried legs, I swear they are the best in the world!
Lovely place with fantastic duck!
A restaurant like we dream of (but in real life)The Achtal in Arcangues is a bit like stumbling upon a treasure... except that here, it's a treasure that can be eaten (and doesn't empty the wallet). Honestly, I don't know what they put in their dishes, but I almost licked my plate. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking about it.The cuisine is incredible: tasty, creative, perfectly mastered. You feel that each dish is made with love, talent, and perhaps a hint of magic. It’s gastronomy without fuss, with prices that still leave you enough to afford dessert (and believe me, you want dessert). The frame? Gorgeous. A decor that is both modern and warm, the kind of place where you say to yourself when you enter: “Oh yeah, I’m going to have a good time there”. And you're not wrong. But the real plus is the team. Top service: professional, friendly, attentive without being intrusive. We feel like we’re invited to a friend’s house… if they were really good at cooking and hosting. In summary: we eat divinely well, we laugh, we relax, and we leave with a smile (and probably the desire to come back the next day). L’Achtal is the address not to be kept secret – unless you want to be sure of getting a table next time.
Very pretty inn, Basque architecture, typical dining room with large wooden tables. Very nice terrace.Excellent homemade Basque cake!
